Sports Squares (also known as Football Squares or Super Bowl Squares) is a popular game of chance played during sporting events. Players claim squares on a 10x10 grid, and winners are determined by matching the last digit of each team's score at the end of each quarter or period.

Simply sign up or log in, then click "Create Game." You'll choose your teams, set an optional cost per square, and get a share code to invite friends. It only takes about 30 seconds!

If someone has shared a game code with you, click "Join Game" and enter the 6-character code. You'll be added to the game and can start claiming squares right away.

The game owner controls when the row and column numbers (0-9) are revealed. Best practice is to reveal them after all squares are claimed but before the game starts. This ensures fairness since no one can strategically pick squares based on the numbers.

At the end of each quarter (or period), look at the last digit of each team's score. For example, if the score is Chiefs 21, 49ers 17, the last digits are 1 and 7. The square where column 1 meets row 7 (or vice versa, depending on team assignment) wins!

A common payout structure is 20% for Q1, 20% for Q2 (halftime), 20% for Q3, and 40% for the final score. However, the game owner can customize payouts however they like.

No, Gridiron does not process or hold any money. We provide tools to track who owes what and who has paid, but all actual money transfers happen between players outside our platform (Venmo, cash, etc.).

Yes! If you own the square that matches the score at the end of multiple quarters, you win each time. It's also possible for the same square to win if the last digits don't change between quarters.
